In this article it is focused on “Texas Voters [wanting] to legalize Marijuana” 58 percent of Texas want Marijuana to be legalized. Even though 61 percent of Texas voters were in favor of decriminalizing the possession of Marijuana rather than making it a violation with a civil citation compared to the 58 percent just making it legal. The fine for having Marijuana here in Texas it is $2,000, but as always that it the minimum here in the state of Texas. The first states to make Marijuana legal for the recreational use were Colorado and Washington. The efforts right now are focused on making the states of California, Arizona, Oregon and Alaska to have the privilege of using the recreational use of Marijuana. Only 31 percent of Texas is opposed to having Marijuana in Texas. This site is helpful for the research because it shows statistics of the thoughts of Texas voters and can be expected for Texas in a near future.

The difference between them is one is made out of paper and thin and the other is made out of tobacco and thicker. Also it is helpful to understand how it smoked because you can hear the words blunt and joint but not really understand what it is referred to.

The author of this article made an investigation analyzing what are the effects of marijuana in neuropsychological effects. The neuropsychological effects are the study of the relationship between behavior, emotion, and cognition. Also these effects were tested as the residual effects of after a day. The two comparisons were between heavy and light marijuana users. This research was conducted in an environment where it was controlled and monitored the after effects of the use of marijuana. The use of marijuana for this investigation was for recreational use for a period of thirty days. Also these people had to be drug free prior to the beginning of the experiment. The people in this investigation were college students. The investigation concluded that after a day of using marijuana there are effects to the brain and the usage of frequent use of marijuana does affect the cognition. This site is useful to the research because it is an intake of an investigation that demonstrates the harm of Marijuana on College students which involves the audience in my focus.

The effects are trouble remembering things, slowed reaction time, difficulty concentrating, sleepy, anxious, paranoia, altered time perception, and red bloodshot eyes. Marijuana usually makes people lose interest in how their life was, cause legal problems since it is an illegal drug, and it is dangerous to drive under the influence of it because of the reaction span. Marijuana affects people physically by having tremors, nausea, headaches, decreased coordination, breathing problems, increased appetite, reducing blood flow to the brain, and changes in the reproductive organs. Marijuana has more tar in it than tobacco and can cause harm to the lungs and give cancer. Marijuana is perhaps the first illegal drug that people might start using, and once it is stop there can be side effects along with a crave to start smoking it again. This site is helpful to the research because it shows the symptoms of Marijuana and the unknown effects that it has in the human body.

Marijuana is known for being the most common abused illegal drug in the United States. Marijuana is usually smoked in a cigarette or in a pipe. Marijuana is also known as cannabis, ganja, grass, hash, boom, pot and weed these are just a few other names used in the streets. This site mentions the negative effects of marijuana. The usage of Marijuana causes problems with memory, learning and social behavior interfering with family, school, work and other activities. This article mentions scientific studies being made on the safety and usefulness of the use of medical marijuana. It shows not only the law but any complication/rule there is in order to intake Marijuana. This site emphasizes in allowing its residents to know how Marijuana will be allowed and what its cost will be and legal age. Also since many states only allow Marijuana for medical use what are the implications for that to be allowed including the practitioners that will be able to prescribe Marijuana to the residents in the state. Since there are several states involved with the legalization of Marijuana each state have their own law. This site includes 20 states and the Nation’s Capital and shows what the Amendments/bill voting was like and when was it held. This site is useful to the research because it actually has the bills to each state for when Marijuana was legalized for medical use although some states now have the law for recreational use. This site is a list of practitioners and what they believe in for the use of medical Marijuana. There is a 54.4 percent of Doctors who are for Marijuana being used as a pain killer. This is especially useful because it shows the background information of a Doctors opinion to prescribe Marijuana. There are roughly 90 Doctors on this site at least one from each state. These are among the best Doctors in the United States and their credibility goes along with their work. People who want to go with them for an appointment will take in consideration their thoughts because it is someone that one is trusting to help them get better. Therefore, a Texas doctor is on this site that will help my research to understand why there should or should not be Marijuana in the counters of a pharmacy.

The hospitals chosen for this survey are well known over the country and have a great reputation. Most of these hospitals are based off of Universities where young students go and practice and research for new cures. These are the hospitals where any medical student can dream of in being a resident. Therefore, their opinion in having Marijuana in their hospital is a big intake for being seen as a modern liberal hospital or a closed in old-fashioned. This is great for my research because it will show how many hospitals will actually follow with having Marijuana as a medicine.

Rick Perry as a governor is nether pro or con and has a statement stating why. These are people that have an important placement in society to give their opinion simply because they should listen to their constituents. This site also shows what the Obama Administration thinks of the legalization and what they are planning to do with this case. The people who use Marijuana are between the ages of 12-17, which means pre-teens are getting access to this drug too soon. This site also describes what the effects on Tax would be if Marijuana was legalized compared to alcohol and tobacco. According to this site if Marijuana was legalized it would affect the criminal justice system because there wouldn’t be any more arrests for having this drug illegally. There are not only statistics in this site but also facts and future problems that can occur with this drug being legalized and the effects on this country.
